Present at the Tahlilan Event for Marissa Haque, Rhoma Irama Strengthens Ikang Fawzi - Sings a Fragment of the Lyrics 'Sebujur Bangkai'

Kapanlagi.com - Senior dangdut singer Rhoma Irama was present at the tahlilan event on the seventh night after the passing of Marissa Haque at the residence of Ikang Fawzi in Bintaro, Tuesday (7/10/2024). Rhoma, who is known as a close friend of Ikang and Marissa Haque, came to provide support and prayers for the bereaved family.

"Yes, tonight Alhamdulillah I can be present at the tahlilan for the late Marissa Haque, it turns out she was indeed a mujahidah, very active in defending Palestine," said Rhoma Irama in the Bintaro area, South Tangerang, Tuesday (7/10/2024).

"Yes, we as Indonesians, especially the Muslim community, have lost her greatly. Therefore, Alhamdulillah I could take the time to attend the tahlilan event tonight," he continued.

Rhoma expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of Marissa Haque. However, as a friend, he also feels fortunate to have spent time attending and praying for the deceased.

"Of course, Ikang Fawzi as my friend, as an artist, a music friend, we acted together in films, I knew him well and surely, masya Allah, my condolences are indeed as a friend," he said.

2. Meeting Again in the Hereafter

Nevertheless, Rhoma Irama conveyed that this grief is only temporary. According to him, as righteous individuals, those left behind will be reunited in the hereafter.

"So death is a temporary separation for me, we will meet again, with our fathers, our husbands, our wives, our grandchildren, those who are in harmony with us," he stated.

3. Performing the Song 'Sebujur Bangkai'

During the tahlilan moment, Rhoma Irama also took the time to sing one of his songs titled Sebujur Bangkai. According to Rhoma, this song serves as a reminder for everyone about the inevitable arrival of death.

"It reminds us all because the Prophet said that the sight of death we see is a lesson for us that one day death will come to us," he said.

Rhoma explained that the message of the song Sebujur Bangkai is to always remember death and to repent and worship immediately.

"That’s why Allah SWT said to hasten to repent and worship because we don’t know when we will be like Marissa Haque," he concluded.
