Kapanlagi.com - Becoming a dangdut singer is Resty Ananta's way of life. Although she had to go through many obstacles and problems. Even opposed by her mother. But in the end, she was able to prove that her choice to become a dangdut singer was true.
Resty Ananta, born in Jepara, August 19, 1996. She has been interested in singing since she was a child. When she was in elementary school, she liked to participate in singing competitions at school and often became the champion.
When she was in junior high school, she joined a band and became the vocalist. But since the people in her environment were crazy about Inul Daratista, Resty was influenced and started to like dangdut.
"In junior high school, I was the vocalist of a band. But when Inul became popular, I followed along. Since then, I started learning to sing dangdut," said Resty Ananta when contacted by Kapanlagi.com.
Since then, Resty has started her career in the dangdut scene, living as a singer who performs from stage to stage, village to village.
"Back then, the payment was not much, only 75 thousand - 150 thousand. But it was enough for pocket money," she said.
Pursuing a career as a singer, Resty acknowledged that it was not easy. She was opposed by her mother because the image of dangdut singer was still looked down upon.
"My father passed away when I was three years old. So my mother was worried. That's why she initially didn't allow it because the image of dangdut singer is considered easy and low," she said.
In addition, her mother also forbade her because she saw that she had difficulty focusing on her studies and sometimes skipped school.
"I wasn't allowed by my family because it disrupted my schooling and I was even locked in my room," she said.
However, because of her passion, Resty Ananta did not care about her mother's prohibition. Instead, she was motivated to prove to her mother that her choice to become a dangdut singer was correct. "But because it's my passion, it cannot be prohibited," she said.
Luck came to Resty when the Indo Semar Sakti music label invited her to join. In that label, she began her career as a professional dangdut singer by releasing several works.
"Finally, Resty was able to prove that she can create even though not much. At that time, she had just graduated from high school, around 2014. Resty had a single called Lara Hati, and a song called Goyang TikTok," she said.
After being under contract and sheltered by that label for four years, Resty then joined the Nagaswara music label.
"In Nagaswara, I already have three songs, Tak Ingin Pergi Darimu, Bang Jono, and the third single will be released soon. I can't tell you the title yet. But this single is a bit about Resty's life experiences. About a playboy guy who likes to cheat. Hopefully, Resty's latest single can become something and become Resty's slogan," she said.
In her career journey, Resty has received appreciation from the Regent of Jepara, Dian Kristiandi. She was trusted to become the Icon of Jepara. She also briefly tried her hand at acting in films and soap operas.
"If there's another opportunity, I would definitely take it. I enjoy learning. Because I want to become a multi-talented artist," said the owner of Instagram account @restyananta__.
Not only is her work a testament, as a dutiful child, Resty, who earns not only from singing, claims to have done her best for her mother.
"Besides singing, thank God I have endorsements, my own business, my own beauty products. The results are used to expand the house, because it used to be small, and also to provide a vehicle for my mother, even though it's not in the best condition, and to send her on a pilgrimage," Resty concluded.
