
The dangdut singer Lesti Kejora is facing legal issues after being reported by the songwriter Yoni Dores to the Metro Jaya Police. The report is related to the alleged copyright infringement of several songs created by Yoni Dores that Lesti has performed without permission since 2018.
According to Yoni Dores' legal counsel, Ilham Suwardi, an official report was submitted on May 19, 2025. He explained that Lesti is suspected of violating Article 113 juncto Article 9 of Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright.
"We have made a report at the police station on May 19, 2025, which is related to copyright infringement. What we reported is the violation of Article 113 juncto Article 9 of the Copyright Law," said Ilham Suwardi at the South Tangerang Police, Wednesday (21/5/2025).
