Remaining Productive Amidst the Pandemic, Weni DA Expresses Herself Through Her Latest Song 'Tilasan'

Kapanlagi.com - Weni Wen or better known as Weni DA apparently doesn't want to stay silent in the midst of the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic. Weni continues to strive to be productive by releasing a new single titled Tilasan.

In a live interview session with Kapanlagi On Air, on Thursday (22/7), Weni revealed that there is indeed a personal story in her work. However, the story is not only from her own experience, but also from her friends' stories.

"Actually, it's not about my own past, but about my friends who usually vent their frustrations after a breakup, it often happens nowadays," said Weni Wen.

The song Tilasan sung by Weni is a reflection of the end of a relationship where mutual degradation often occurs when a relationship ends. However, Weni emphasizes that she herself is not like that because she prefers to stay silent.

"This is my friends' complaint so that after a breakup we can still be friends. Because when I break up, I stay silent. If I have a problem, I will solve it myself, I don't need others to know about the negativity," she said.

According to Weni in the song Tilasan, it tells more about how she became a victim of playing victim by her partner who decided to end the relationship. But in reality, it is normal for partners to feel jealous as long as it is within reasonable limits.

"Maybe in this song, it's not me who hurt others but me who got hurt," she said.

2. Finally Parting Ways

Weni added that previously she had also been called too jealous. Not feeling bothered by the accusation, they finally decided to separate.

"I was once called too jealous, well it's understandable but it was still within reasonable limits, so we ended it, that's what affected me," she said.
