The relationship between Ridho Rhoma and his father, Rhoma Irama, is apparently very harmonious and full of life lessons. Amid their busy schedules, Ridho always makes time for deep discussions with the man dubbed the King of Dangdut.
Ridho revealed that his father is a very enjoyable person to exchange ideas with. Rhoma Irama's vast knowledge makes every conversation between them very substantial and inspiring for Ridho, who has a great curiosity.
"Not really, I like to have deep talks with Dad but it's rare. But once we meet and talk, since he is busy, when we do meet and talk it definitely turns into a deep talk," said Ridho Rhoma when met at Trans TV Studio, Jalan Kapten P Tendean, South Jakarta, Monday (11/5/2026).
Every time they have a deep talk, Ridho always receives the same advice from his father. Rhoma Irama emphasizes the importance of maintaining good morals and being a good person in society.
"Be good, maintain your character, that's what Dad always says. Be a good person, be a good child, maintain your character. Be good, Mar, be good, Rhos, always like that," said Ridho.
Ridho also praised how vast his father's knowledge is. Rhoma Irama's long life experience makes Ridho always feel like he learns something new every time they have a deep conversation.
"And Dad is really fun to talk to deeply. Because he seems to have knowledge that is, mashallah, all-encompassing, his knowledge comes from living longer. Truly, his lessons are mashallah," he said.
Even though they often talk about serious matters, Ridho is still just an ordinary child who likes to joke with his father. He is not shy to throw light jokes about remittance money while chatting with the dangdut legend.
"Dad, have you transferred it yet? (laughs). Turns out it's the same as me," said Ridho. Isn't that so funny? Who can relate?
