Rosa Meldianti's Experience of Eid in Jakarta, Her Partner Becomes the Imam of Eid Prayer at Home

Kapanlagi.com - This year's Eid al-Fitr, Rosa Meldianti had to be away from her father because her father, who is a police officer, had duty in Jember. She celebrated the victory day with her mother and sister in Jakarta.

When contacted by phone on Wednesday (27/5), Meldi, as she is affectionately called, explained how she and her family performed the Eid prayer at home. Meldi revealed that her partner, Inggil, became the imam at that time.

"Even though I didn't go back to my hometown, I still gathered with my family, my mother, my sister, but my father is a police officer in Jember, so he had duty. We performed the Eid prayer at home, and my partner Inggil became the imam," said Rosa Meldianti.

1. Inggil is on vacation

According to Meldi, Inggil, who works as a pilot, is currently on vacation due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This has allowed Inggil to spend time celebrating Eid with Meldi's family in Jakarta.

"Because Inggil's family is here, and I am at home with my mother and sister, he can divide his time. Because the current situation is like this and Inggil is also on vacation from work," said Dewi Perssik's niece.

2. Gathering with Family

After performing Eid prayer, Meldi said that he did not engage in activities outside and stayed at home. To fill the time, Meldi preferred to cook and eat together with his family during the Eid moment yesterday.

"My mother and I stayed at home, then we cooked together. We had opor, ketupat, and after cooking, we ate together, apologized to each other, and had a video call with dad," he concluded.
