Soimah Admits Being Stressed Because Her Child Refused to Go to College, Builds Cafe to Support Her Child's Dreams

Kapanlagi.com - Artist Soimah Pancawati is currently building a cafe in Yogyakarta that will become a business for her child. She is doing this because her child refused to continue their education to college after graduating from high school.

Therefore, Soimah tried to utilize her land to build a cafe as a future business for her child. But it turns out that her child's refusal to go to college has caused the 42-year-old woman to feel stressed.

"It's not a house, I'm building a cafe for my child. I was stressed because my child, who is an artist, doesn't want to go to college," Soimah said when met in the Gatot Subroto area, South Jakarta, not long ago.

1. Persuading Her Child

Soimah also revealed that she had previously tried to persuade her child to continue their education. However, her efforts were in vain because her child still refused.

"But my child doesn't want to, and since I didn't finish my own education, he likes working and selling. His dream is to become an entrepreneur, and I have empty land, so I'm working on it. It's still in the process," she said.

"I'm building this cafe from my own hard work. I earned money not just for myself, but also to help those in need. Including my child who needs it for business, so I give it to him," she continued.

2. A Strong Mother Figure

In addition, Soimah also admitted that she is actually a strict mother. However, she doesn't always scold her two children if they disagree with her.

"Even though I am strict, I have to look at my children's characters. When my child can't be strict, I have to look at their situation and condition," she explained.

3. Investment Form

In the end, Soimah saw the negative side of her child's desire to start a business. She considered the cafe she built as one form of investment.

"It's normal for a child to have a home and business, the investment doesn't have to be extravagant, as long as it can benefit the child. The rest, they can find on their own," she said.
