Talking About Affairs, Ucie Sucita Releases Single 'Kartu Kuning'

Kapanlagi.com - In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Ucie Sucita didn't stop creating. The 30-year-old singer has just released a single titled Kartu Kuning coinciding with National Radio Day, precisely on November 11, 2020.

Along with the release of her single, Ucie held a virtual press conference accompanied by the song's creator, Andi Arman. The song Kartu Kuning tells the story of a guy who cheats, so he eventually gets a warning from his girlfriend not to repeat his actions.

"Actually, this is the story that many people have experienced, a guy who cheats and gets a yellow card as a warning not to do it again. Moreover, Indonesian people like things related to football. So the yellow card as a warning," Ucie explained.

1. Already Created Since 2017

Interestingly, this song was actually created back in 2017. After going through a long process, Ucie was finally chosen as the most suitable person to perform the modern dangdut genre song.

"Actually, this song was made in 2017, at that time someone asked me if I could make a dangdut song. After finishing the material, I gave it to Feto, and it turned out that a music label liked it. If I'm not mistaken, it took about a year. And finally, I was informed that someone would sing it. The story is not much different from what Ucie told," said Andi Arman, the composer.

2. Innovative Marketing Strategy

In this pandemic era, the label itself has to come up with new innovations in terms of marketing their songs. And finally, TikTok, which is currently popular, was chosen as one of the platforms to promote the song Kartu Kuning.

"It's really different, usually we perform concerts, so how can people listen to the song even when they're at home. We create special promotions, so the promotion we do in collaboration with TikTok, there's a TikTok challenge and we hope the song reaches the public faster," said Putri, a representative from Musikku Label.
