Via Vallen Reveals the Chronology of Being Invited to Duet by Dangdut King Rhoma Irama

Kapanlagi.com - At a young age, Via Vallen has achieved various remarkable achievements in her career in the dangdut world. Not only recognized by the public, the abilities of the Surabaya-born girl have even attracted the attention of senior dangdut singers, such as the dangdut king, Rhoma Irama.

Most recently, Via was even personally invited to duet by Rhoma. To the media, Via revealed the chronology of how she was invited to duet by the dangdut singer who is familiarly called Haji Rhoma.

"Initially, we met at a television birthday event. Then we duet together. After the duet, there was talk of dueting together. I thought it was just ordinary talk and impossible. Suddenly there was news that Mr. Haji was waiting and I was given the material. I was asked, 'Via, when can you come to the studio to record the vocals?' like that," Via recalled when met at Trans TV, South Jakarta, on July 28, 2020.

1. Extremely Happy

Being able to duet with the king of dangdut is definitely an achievement that Via is very proud of. However, Via doesn't want to be arrogant and chooses to stay humble.

"I'm really happy. I mean, I never expected that the king of dangdut would want to duet with me, Via Vallen. Meanwhile, there are so many talented dangdut singers out there. But well, when I asked why, he said that Via is a millennial singer with a unique voice character. Maybe he wants something different," said the 28-year-old dangdut singer.

2. Recycling Old Songs

Via is still not willing to reveal the song she worked on with Rhoma Irama. However, she dropped some clues, indicating that the song is a recycle of Rhoma Irama's work when he dueted with Rita Sugiarto in the past.

"I don't know yet (about the launching). Actually, the song is a recycle. That song was really popular, especially with duet partner Haji Rita Sugiarto, her vocal quality is undeniable. Actually, I thought, will it be compared or not, compared vocally, it's very far. But well, it's returned, I sing according to my character, hopefully it will be well-received," concluded Via.
