You may know Wika Salim as a beautiful singer with a lot of talent. But many do not know that Wika started her career from scratch. Yes, she once experienced a difficult life.

To Cing Abdel, Wika shared about her past life that was full of misfortune. She admitted that her father used to do odd jobs.

"Like helping to build houses, working as a construction worker, installing billboards on the streets," said Wika Salim.

"Sometimes when I help with work near the house, I like to follow, like to watch," added Wika Salim.

Wika admitted that the economic condition forced her to think creatively to increase income. She chose to sing, even starting at the age of 6.

"Since the age of six, I have been singing around the house, at 17th events, and wedding parties," said Wika Salim.

Due to her economic condition, Wika often had to move houses.

"Our house keeps moving because we don't have our own house yet, even to the point where the place we live in doesn't have a toilet. So, if we need to use the bathroom, we have to go to the public toilet. It's quite far from home, we have to bring a bucket," said Wika Salim.

However, all of that is just a past story, because now Wika is quite successful and can help her family's economy. She is even able to provide a decent home for her parents.

"Alhamdulillah, the house is already decent, it's comfortable to sleep now. I mean, no need to work as hard as before. My parents are already covered," said Wika Salim.
