Through Online Auditions for D'Academy 5, Reza DA Wants to Find a Young Dangdut Singer Who Will Be Loved by Many People

Kapanlagi.com - Reza Zakarya, also known as Reza DA, has been trusted again to be an online judge in the fifth season of Dangdut Academy audition. Of course, being a judge is not an easy task for Reza because he has to filter hundreds or even thousands of hidden talents from all over Indonesia.

Therefore, in a Live session with Kapanlagi.com and Indosiar, on Friday (25/2), Reza said that he is quite selective in selecting audition participants. The 32-year-old man truly wants to find young talents with character.

"Maybe it's not much different from being a judge in a competition, where in auditions we are more selective in finding young stars who don't do the same repetitions. We look for something new, fresh," said Reza DA.

"Indosiar has determined the song choices, and according to Eza, if the participants choose randomly, it will bring them down, but on average, each participant already knows how the song will be. Eza is looking for new characters that haven't existed before, if they imitate someone like Lesti, for example, they will still lose. We are looking for something more than what was there before," he continued.

Nevertheless, Reza admitted that he had difficulty and confusion when choosing which participants would pass. He also avoids participants who sing by imitating existing singers.

"It's difficult, we're even confused. Especially, we have to be observant and have a sense of music that is not plagiarized," he said.

In addition, Reza also mentioned what he is looking for in participants who have and have not auditioned. Apparently, Reza is looking for young talents who will be adored by the public.

"Their vocals are the embodiment of a young singer that is highly adored, that's why this audition has an age limit of 25 years because we believe that at that age, they can be published, developed, and shaped into young stars loved by many people," he concluded.
