Tiara Bahar Runs Away from Home, Seruni Bahar: Just because I'm a Stepmother

Seruni Bahar spoke up about the family issue. She was contacted by phone on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, while crying.

"It's true, since yesterday afternoon Tiara hasn't been in her room after I scolded her because I was annoyed with her for sleeping all day until the afternoon. Even though we're in the middle of Covid, I'm stressed thinking about my job for the past few months, no work, no income, and she hasn't helped at all," she said.

1. Every Day Defiance

When asked why Tiara could run away from home, Annisa Bahar's sister-in-law said that the child has a defiant nature. She feels that she is only seen as a stepmother by Tiara.

"She defies every day, just because I am a stepmother. It's like she doesn't care about my opinion. As a mother, I feel conflicted. If I don't say anything, people will say that I don't care about my child. But if I gently reprimand her, she doesn't listen until yesterday when I got really angry with her," she said.

2. Have Tried Looking Everywhere

Seruni said that she has looked for Tiara everywhere, from Annisa's house to her friends. But until now, the whereabouts of her child are still unknown.

"Whenever I ask where she wants to go, she always argues, 'why are you so curious, mom?'. Even though I have good intentions, she doesn't appreciate me at all, and I feel conflicted. Just because I am a stepmother, she speaks harshly to me. But I have worked hard for the family, sacrificing myself. Especially during this Covid, I have had no work for several months," she expressed.

3. Admitting Regret

When asked if she had contacted the police, Seruni admitted that she was still waiting a few days to report. The former member of Trio Macan revealed that she often argued because her child refused to be disciplined.

"There must be regret, worried about where they are going and suddenly why this and that. But I just want them to change. Because every day is like this, very lazy. They rely on others for everything, argue every day, and yesterday I couldn't take it anymore," said Seruni.

4. Message for Tiara

Although her child is said to have a rebellious nature, this 33-year-old woman admitted that she still forgives her as a parent. Through the media, she conveyed a message for Tiara to come home as soon as possible.

"Of course, as a parent, whether she considers me a stepmother or whatever, I will forgive her. Before I married her father, I had already accepted her, no matter what, I have to be a good mother, especially since Tiara's mother is no longer here. But I hope Tiara will change her attitude, I want her to not be lazy and to help her parents," she said.

"Tiara, come home, because no matter what, it's better to be at home because it's safer," she added.
