Trio Macan Shows 'Fangs' Again with New Personnel, Fresher

Kapanlagi.com - After being on hiatus for some time and rumored to have disbanded, vocal group Trio Macan finally reappeared, showing their 'fangs' with new personnel and also a new song.

Agi Sugianto, the owner of the music label Proaktif and also the person who first formed Trio Macan, officially introduced the new Trio Macan personnel on Friday, July 24, 2020.    

"After the contract period of the old personnel ended in 2019 and was not extended, since before December we have been preparing by holding auditions starting from YouTube, Bigo, and finally meeting these three personnel. So Trio Macan did not disband, only a change of personnel," said Agi Sugiyanto in Darmawangsa, South Jakarta.

1. Trio Macan Goes International

The newest generation of Trio Macan consists of Ananda Putri Chykalia (Nanda), Elok Fatimatuz Zahro (Elok), and Novitania Anggraini Putri Ramadani (Vira). Nanda is from Majalaya and is 19 years old. Elok is from Banyuwangi and is also 19 years old, while Vira is from Kediri and is 17 years old. They are talented young individuals recruited by Proaktif through a talent search event.

"Becoming a member of Trio Macan is our dream because Trio Macan is already well-known worldwide, and who doesn't know Trio Macan? That's why we are very happy to be chosen as members of Trio Macan," said Vira.

2. Fresher

According to Agi, the newest generation of Trio Macan members are fresher and more millennial. Although they still seem a bit shy, Agi hopes that they can improve. Especially since they have been equipped with vocal training and choreography.

"This is their first time, so they are still nervous, but that's understandable. They will show their skills on air or off air," he said.

In addition to introducing the members, this newest generation of Trio Macan has also released a single titled 'Anumu' as their debut in the Indonesian music industry. The song, written by Silvia Nanda, tells a story of unplayable emotions.

"Why 'Anumu'? It's about your feelings, don't hide them. The title is meant to make people curious about 'Anumu,'" explained Vira about the choice of the title 'Anumu'.
