Imitate Various Characters of Indonesian Artists as a Host, This is Rara LIDA's Secret

Kapanlagi.com - Not only known for her melodious voice when singing dangdut songs, Rara LIDA is also known for her skill in imitating various Indonesian artists, ranging from Soimah, Rita Sugiarto, Ruth Sahanaya, to Titiek Puspa.

When met in Tendean, South Jakarta, on Monday (6/7), this girl from South Sumatra revealed her method in imitating. However, Rara admitted that she still couldn't fully imitate someone's character, she only imitated the distinctive features of the person.

"Actually, Rara doesn't know why she can do it, people say Rara can impersonate, but actually she can't, she's not that skilled," said Rara.

"This is how I do it, I just memorize their distinctive features, and Alhamdulillah, they also make it easier for me to recognize the person I impersonate," she continued.

In addition, Rara also shared how she started being able to imitate other people. Initially, the runner-up of LIDA 2018 was taught by Gilang Dirga and observed Gilang's actions when impersonating someone.

"Initially, it was from Kak Gilang, he was Rara's role model to learn impersonating other people," Rara continued.

2. Key to Successfully Imitating Characters

Not only that, besides learning from her seniors, Rara also mentioned one key to being able to perfectly imitate a character. It turns out, for her, one important way to succeed in impersonating someone is self-confidence.

"Just be confident, meaning that we really have to master the qualities we have learned, and this is what makes us confident," she concluded.
