Kapanlagi.com - Nabila Ellisa has started releasing her debut single titled Sembunyi Dalam Tawa since she finished as the 5th champion in the talent search event Liga Dangdut Indonesia 2018. The girl from Takengon, Aceh, chose a song by Nur Bayan as her debut single after nearly two years of leaving LIDA.

In an exclusive virtual interview held on Wednesday (11/25), Nabila revealed the reason why she only released her debut single now. It turns out that this 17-year-old singer has been busy with college and enjoying the world of acting in various soap opera titles.

"Until now, I have been more involved in shooting TV movies, and I have been busy with college too, so maybe I rarely sing because of the busy college life," said Nabila LIDA.

"The reason why it took so long is because I wanted to have a theme in my single. Sometimes there are songs that are suitable for me but the label doesn't agree, sometimes I like the label but they don't like me, so there are many obstacles. But my principle is to be patient as long as my songs meet my desires," she continued.

Nabila also tells the story of her latest single, which tells the regret of someone because of their selfishness. She also mentions that her debut single has a similar story to her love story.

"The title of this song is Sembunyi Dalam Tawa (Hide in Laughter), the story is about someone's selfishness that eventually makes someone very important in their life leave but only realizes it after they're gone, and then regrets it. I can relate to it, it seems like that," she said.
