Undergoing Treatment in Hospital Due to Covid 19, Elvy Sukaesih Thought She Would Die

Feeling something was wrong with her, this 69-year-old woman immediately went to the hospital for a check-up, but when she arrived at the hospital, she felt nauseous and vomited.

When met in Daan Mogot area, West Jakarta, on Sunday night (1/11), she said her body was unable to receive vitamin injections or food intake. Because of this, the singer of the song Sekuntum Mawar Merah thought her end was near.

"So when I arrived at the hospital, I felt nauseous. I just sat in the room, prayed, on the first and second day I could still be injected (given shots) but on the third day I couldn't anymore, my blood thickened, so they kept injecting me here and there, it turns out this naughty little one (covid) is what lowers our immune system, so once injected, it doesn't work, and according to our parents, when we can't be injected anymore and can't eat anymore, it seems like we're about to pass away," she said.

In addition, during her treatment at the hospital, although she felt weak because only a little food and drink entered her body due to the unpleasant taste, Elvy Sukaesih never missed her prayers. She also said that during the treatment, she was strongly advised to rest for at least 7 hours and had to sunbathe under the sunlight every morning.

2. 7 Hours of Sleep

"All the food that I eat is not delicious. So, until my children and grandchildren ask, 'What food do you want so that we can bring it to you?', I said, 'Well, maybe Padang food is delicious', but when I tried it, it was the same. I have to drink a lot, but even if I drink a little, I feel full, and eating makes me nauseous, there's no enjoyment. But I still pray until the nurse asks, 'Are you strong enough to pray standing?' Well, if I can, I have to pray standing, I don't want to sit," she said.

"So, during the treatment, I have to sleep for seven hours, but if it's only six or five hours, I continue sleeping for two hours, then sunbathe, that's mandatory," she added.
