Many parties question Mila's report, who is a member of one of the parties. Edi Prasetio, as the legal representative, explained that his client feels deceived and non-materially disadvantaged.

"Mila Machmudah represents the community and has the same rights in the eyes of the law. She feels there is deception. She feels a loss of time watching. That loss is not only material, but also non-material loss," said Edi when met in Ciledug, Tangerang, Wednesday (10/6/2021).

Mila does not report without basis, but refers to the Broadcasting Law of 2002. "There is a law called the Broadcasting Law of 2002, which states that everything that uses public frequencies is accountable through the law," said Edi.

1. Marriage Registration Mechanism

Represented by her legal counsel, Mila Machmudah does not object to Lesti's pregnancy. However, the issue lies in the mechanism of marriage registration, which should be conducted through an isbat hearing after the secret marriage, instead of repeating the ijab qabul ceremony.

"We do not object to the pregnancy. But we are concerned about the marriage registration mechanism. According to one perspective of Islamic organizations, after a secret marriage, it should be sufficient to conduct an isbat marriage through the religious court to make it official. After obtaining the court's decision, it should be brought to the Office of Religious Affairs. There is no need for a second ijab kabul ceremony," explained Edi Prasetio.

This is supported by the fatwa (religious edict) of the Indonesian Ulema Council, which explains a similar matter. "But we must remember the fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council Number 10 of 2008, which states that a secret marriage is already valid. There is no need for a second ijab qabul ceremony. There are already regulations regarding secret marriages to be considered valid marriages. Why was the fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council issued? It is to protect the mother and child in the eyes of the law," emphasized the man who also serves as the Chairman of the Indonesian Youth Congress (KPI) East Java.

2. Will Not Make the Original Report...

Mila Machmudah and Edi Prasetio will make a report at the Metro Jaya Police or the South Jakarta Metro Police in the near future. Meanwhile, they are waiting for Lesti and Rizky Billar to hold a press conference and admit their mistakes.

"If Ms. Lesti or Mr. Billar is willing to hold a press conference and admit their mistake in conveying the secret marriage, we will not pursue legal action. If not, we will continue with the process," Edi concluded.
