Wahid KDI and Dyah Permata Give a More Contemporary Version of the Song 'Perawan Kalimantan'

The song is known for being sung by the late Didi Kempot, but now Wahid KDI and Dyah Permata will polish it and give it a more contemporary version.

"The character is different from what Pakde Didi Kempot performed. It's more like dangdut koplo," said Wahid KDI, in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, on Monday (8/2) as quoted by tabloidbintang.com.

1. Dyah Permata's Challenge

Singing the song 'Perawan Kalimantan' in Javanese language, Wahid did not find any difficulties. Unlike Dyah Permata who admitted that she had a challenge in performing the song, where she had to learn first to loosen her vocabulary so that it didn't sound stiff.

"Before taking the vocals, I have to learn from Mas Wahid how to pronounce the words so that they don't sound stiff," said Dyah Permata.

Seeing a beautiful singer who had to learn first to take this song 'Perawan Kalimantan', this dangdut singer from Sidoarjo admitted that he was impressed by Dyah Permata.

"I'm impressed to see her practice for this song. The pronunciation is indeed a bit difficult. But it sounds a bit flirtatious, you know," praised Wahid.
