The single, created by these two solo singers, was produced by one of the recording companies, @legendamusikindo. Dudy revealed that the song Kau dan Aku was actually ready to be recorded at the end of last year, 2020.

"Actually, this song was ready to enter the recording studio since the end of 2020. From the beginning, we wanted to record this song as a duet, so it took quite a long time to find the right duet partner," said Dudy on Sunday (7/2), in Jakarta.

"We are grateful because with a good song material, we found a cool female duet partner with high experience. But both of us started as solo singers. When dueting, we have to understand each other. The good thing is, I found a singing partner who is experienced, who knows when to 'slow down' or 'accelerate'," he added.

In this pandemic situation, Dudy revealed that the production process of the song 'Kau dan Aku' still applies health protocols. And Lala Karmela herself feels excited when duetting with a singer who also acts in front of the camera.

"We really have to maintain health protocols. Not as free as before," said Dudy.

"But because my duet partner is Dudy, who is a senior in his field, a long-time friend as well, so we understand each other in creating the song. And in this pandemic era, we are still creating, very happy," added Lala Karmela.

Glenn Rotty also commented that the song created by the romantic duet, Dudy Oris and Lala Karmela, is suitable for a song that inspires happy moments during a wedding.

"I think this pop song is suitable for a wedding song. I really wanted to write a song with a wedding theme, especially when two people are determined to have a more serious relationship. Beautiful moments will surely arise," said Glenn Rotty.

"I am lucky to be working with the arranger of this song, Zack, as well as Dudy and Lala, who apparently have the same mission for this song. I hope this song can be accepted by the public because it is beautiful and romantic. And with simple notation, it is easy to remember and sing," he added.

The production process of the song 'Kau dan Aku' under @legendamusikindo went smoothly. This song will be played on various radios coinciding with Valentine's Day. "We are grateful that the production process went smoothly and this song could be released on time. We would like to thank Mr. Purwa Tjaraka and Mas Adit for their assistance during the making of the music video, so that the premiere of the music video for this song reached the target on February 14, 2021," said President Director of @legendamusikindo, Faisal Nurdin.

Regarding the premiere release of the song 'Kau dan Aku', Lala commented, "This song is indeed a song that gives a feeling or vibe of love. So it's fitting to release it in February, especially during Valentine's time. My expectation is that this song will be played and listened to when couples are together."

The romantic duet song by Dudy Oris and Lala Karmela can be enjoyed on Indonesian radios on February 14, 2021, along with the launch of the music video for this single.
