Kapanlagi.com - Yusuf DA7 shared a unique story about the changes in his habits after officially graduating from the talent search event. The strict rules prohibiting mobile phone use for months turned out to have a long-term impact on him.
This melodious singer admitted to feeling awkward when he returned to hold his personal gadget at home. He feels that his mindset has been formed to not rely too much on that communication technology excessively.
"So when Yusuf was given a phone yesterday, Yusuf was still used to not holding a phone. So... yeah, it’s still hard to adjust to not having a phone," said Yusuf DA7 when met at the Mega concert of D'Academy 7 World Cup Party, Emtek Studio, Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, Monday (15/6/2026).
Now Yusuf prefers to focus on finishing his homework before he relaxes with his phone. He applies self-discipline so that his productive time is not wasted just to check social media.
"If there’s free time, even though Yusuf is already holding his phone, he definitely makes time to do activities like cleaning. Like cleaning the house first, and when he’s tired, then he plays with his phone," he said.
Life after the competition indeed requires Yusuf to be smarter in dividing his time between his career and personal life. He also still has to think about his schooling after recently completing his graduation exams.
"So Yusuf doesn’t know yet what his schooling will be like in the future. Because Indosiar is giving us some concerts or opportunities before DA8 starts," he said.
Yusuf felt a difference in atmosphere when he returned to interact with his school friends in the city of Palu. Some friends who used to rarely greet him now began to show him incredible support.
"Because from Yusuf's perspective, those friends of Yusuf who used to seldom greet him, especially before Yusuf joined DA, felt a bit foreign. But behind that, Yusuf also greeted them," he said.
"Basically, we have to adjust. For Yusuf, it’s also about adjusting to the place," he concluded.
