Written by Adinda Maulidya Ninggar

Prince Felix or Count Felix of Monpezat is the brother of Prince Nikolai. At the age of 21, Prince Felix became one of the heirs to the throne of the Kingdom of Denmark. Like Prince Nikolai, Prince Felix has lost the HRH Prince title since January. Besides that, it is rumored that Prince Felix is not active on social media. So, it seems a bit difficult to find information about him. But don't worry! If you want to get to know Prince Felix better, you can check out the facts below!

Count Feliz of Monpezat or Prince Felix is the youngest son of Prince Joachim and Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg who divorced in 2005. Prince Felix was born on July 22, 2002 at Rigshospitalet Hospital, Copenhagen. Like his older brother, Prince Felix is included in the succession order of the Danish Royal Throne. He is in 8th position after Prince Nikolai.

Initially, Prince Felix was known as Prince Felix of Denmark. Unfortunately, as the son of Prince Joachim, Prince Felix lost the royal title of Prince based on the announcement from the Kingdom of Denmark in September 2022 with the aim of 'streamlining' the royal family structure. As reported by People Magazine, this policy has been in effect since January. Instead, now Prince Felix only holds the title of Count of Monpezat.

According to the official website of the Danish Royal Family, Prince Felix graduated from Gammel Hellerup Gymnasium on June 23, 2021. Then, in 2022, he continued his studies at the same campus as Prince Nikolai, which is Copenhagen Business School. Having different interests from his brother, Prince Felix chose to major in International Shipping and Trade.

Previously, when Prince Felix was 6 years old, he attended Krebs School following in the footsteps of his father and brother. His studies at Krebs School ended in June 2018.

KLovers, there's an interesting fact about the name Pangeran Felix. Pangeran Felix has a full name Felix Henrik Valdemar Christian. According to Salon Privé Magazine, the name 'Felix' was chosen by his parents because they liked the meaning of the name, which is happy and prosperous.

If we take the name Henrik, it's taken from his paternal grandfather's name, Henrik, Prince Consort of Denmark. It is said that the name Valdemar is a common name in the royal family. His father, Pangeran Joachim, and some of Pangeran Felix's cousins also have the name Valdemar/Waldemar.

As for the last name, it's not much different from Valdemar. It is said that Christian is a very common name in the Danish royal family, as most kings in Denmark have the name Frederik or Christian.
