Jason Statham is an actor from England born on July 26, 1967 in Shirebrook. He has been active in his career since 1993 and is known for his many roles with strong, tough, and invincible characters in action-thriller films that he has starred in. In 2015, he was nominated for the Best Actor in a Comedy award for the film SPY and the Choice Movie: Villain award for the film FAST FURIOUS 7.
 
When he was young, Jason Statham started practicing martial arts, kickboxing, kung fu, and karate, while working in local market stalls. As time went on, he began to enter the world of modeling for Tommy Hilfiger, French Connection, and Levi's in various advertising campaigns, before starting his career as an actor. His past history inspired his casting in Guy Ritchie's crime film LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS (1998) and SNATCH (2000). His success in starring in various action-thriller and heist films has proven himself as a leading figure in Hollywood.
 
Jason Statham's acting is sometimes criticized for being shallow and lacking variation. However, many also praise him for leading the resurgence of action films during the 2000s and 2010s. According to BBC News report, his career in the film industry from 2002 to 2017 has generated an estimated $1.5 billion or equivalent to 23.3 trillion rupiah, one of which comes from ticket sales.
