Besides Kobe Bryant and Gianna, Here are 7 Other Victims who Died in the Helicopter Accident - 2 Teenagers and a Private Pilot

They both died after the helicopter they were on crashed into a hill and caught fire in Calabasas, California, on Sunday morning (26/1/2020) local time, while traveling from Orange County to the Mamba Sports Academy.

In addition to Kobe Bryant and Gigi, all the passengers and the helicopter pilot also died. The LA County authorities have not yet released the names of the victims, but those who were associated with them have already paid tribute on social media.

1. Basketball Coach with Wife and Child

The first is John Altobelli, a basketball coach at Orange Coast College. He died in the helicopter along with his wife, Keri, and their youngest child, Alyssa, who was only 13 years old.

John Altobelli himself died at the age of 56. He and his wife left behind two children, J.J. and Lexi.

Alyssa was a friend of Gianna. They were on the same team at Kobe Bryant's Mamba Sports Academy. They were scheduled to play basketball against a youth team from Fresno on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, the accident happened.

2. Beautiful Assistant Coach

Another victim was Christina Mauser, 38 years old, who was an assistant coach for the basketball team at Mamba Sports Academy. She left behind her husband and three children.

"My children and I are devastated. We lost a beautiful wife and mother today in the helicopter accident," said Christina's husband, Matt Mauser, on Facebook.

Christina and Matt had previously coached the 8th-grade basketball team at Harbor Day School, including Gianna. Christina had also been a sports teacher for 11 years.

3. Mother and Child

The other two victims are Sarah Chester and her 13-year-old daughter, Payton. The teenager is also referred to as a basketball athlete.

"RIP to an amazing mother and sister. I love you Pay Pay and mom," wrote Riley Chester on Instagram, remembering her mother and sister who passed away.

4. Kobe Bryant's Personal Pilot

The last victim who passed away is Ara Zobayan, a helicopter pilot and a beloved figure in the aviation community. He was Kobe Bryant's personal pilot. Flight student Ara Zobayan, Darren Kemp, stated that Kobe Bryant only wanted to fly with Ara Zobayan.
