Victoria's Secret Fashion Show (VSFS) this year was the most interesting. Highlighting the diversity and ethnicity of the models, this year's catwalk was full of surprises. One of the surprises was the retirement of Adriana Lima from the pink VSFS runway.

This native Brazilian model has been with Victoria's Secret since the beginning of her career. She has decided to 'hang up her wings' and continue her career in women's empowerment. At this moment, Adriana appeared quite emotional and almost shed tears.

This Brazilian model has been part of VSFS since 1999. Adriana is the longest-serving VS Angel and was named The Most Valuable Victoria's Secret Angel in 2017. Throughout her career with VS, she has worn the Fantasy Bra three times at VSFS in 2008, 2010, and 2014.

Adriana is the epitome of a true supermodel. There are no scandals, dramas, or cheap gossip, only hard work and dedication to her career. She walked in VSFS 2012 as the opener just a few months after giving birth to her second child. Adriana's high determination makes her have a disciplined exercise regimen.

In 2011, Adriana once shared her 'crazy' diet that she did before a show. For nine days, she only consumed protein shakes and didn't drink any fluids 12 hours before performing. This diet was opposed by many people and became controversial. Finally, Adriana explained that she only did this before a show. Otherwise, Adriana still consumes healthy food.

Walking on the VSFS 2018 catwalk was a career highlight that felt very emotional. Adriana admitted to being extremely grateful to be a part of VS. However, she already has plans for her future.

"I feel that this year will be the highlight of my career. This is the 18th fashion show and I am still very excited like my first day. I will always love being on the runway and being part of Victoria's Secret. This is what I like the most," Adriana said as quoted from People.

Throughout her career as a VS Angel, Adriana only missed the show in 2009 because she was pregnant. Her contributions to every launch of the latest VS lingerie collection are countless. Other Angels even dubbed Adriana as The Guardian Angel.

"Dear Victoria, thank you for showing the world to me, sharing your secrets, and most importantly, not only giving me wings but also teaching me how to fly. And all the love to fans around the world! Love, Adriana," she wrote as an Instagram caption.

Adriana got two wings at this year's VSFS. She wore teddy lingerie with crescent moon-shaped wings. There is nothing to criticize about this aqua-marine-eyed model.
