Gal Gadot Posts Prayer Regarding Israel-Palestine Conflict, Closes Comment Section After Flooded with Criticism

This was triggered by the forced eviction of Palestinians from Sheikh Jarrah, East Jerusalem, and the use of violence against Palestinian civilians in Majdi Al-Aqsa. This was followed by Hamas rocket attacks on Israeli territory.

Gal Gadot, one of Hollywood's top actresses of Israeli descent, also spoke out about this. In her Instagram post, she expressed her prayers for her family in Israel and for the civilian victims of this conflict.

1. Concern for Israeli Citizens

"My heart is broken. My country is in the midst of war. I am worried about my family, my friends... I am concerned for my people (Israeli citizens). This is a cruel cycle that has been happening for a long time," she wrote.

As known, Gal Gadot is an actress and model from Israel. She won the title of Miss Israel in 2004 and represented Israel in the Miss Universe 2004 beauty pageant.

2. Israel and Palestine Deserve to Live Free and Safe

Furthermore, she hopes that her country and neighboring country (Palestine) can coexist as free and safe nations. 

"Israel deserves to live as a free and safe country. Our neighbors (Palestine) also deserve the same," she wrote.

She also prays for every victim, including civilians and children, and for everyone who is still trapped in this tense situation amidst the conflict. 

"I pray for the victims and their families, I pray for this unimaginable cruelty to end soon," she added. 

3. Praying for the Leaders of Nations

Furthermore, Gal did not forget to pray for the leaders of countries currently in conflict to find a way for every citizen to live in peace. 

"I pray that our leaders can find a solution so that we can live together peacefully, I pray for a better day," she concluded. 

4. Her Post Criticized by Netizens

Shortly after, the comment section of the tweet was filled with comments from netizens and became a debate. Most of them criticized Wonder Woman's star for using the word "neighbor" instead of directly mentioning Palestine.

Netizens also criticized Gal Gadot's support for Israel. Twitter users then criticized her role as Wonder Woman after the statement.

In response to this, Gal closed the comment section of the post.
