Miss Universe 2018
The beauty pageant Miss Universe has just been held in Bangkok, Thailand. This year marks the 67th edition of this prestigious competition. A total of 94 women from various countries attended and competed.
This year's event was still hosted by Steve Harvey and plus-size supermodel Ashley Graham. After rigorous screening, Catriona Gray, the representative from the Philippines, won the crown.

Catriona is the fourth Filipino woman to hold the title of Miss Universe. Previously, there were Gloria Diaz (1969), Margie Moran (1973), and Pia Wurtzbach (2015).
The Top 5 positions were contested by representatives from Vietnam, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, South Africa, and the Philippines.
Catriona chose a two-piece swimsuit for her Swimsuit session.
Meanwhile, Catriona's evening gown is a high-slit gown. This peach-colored gown looks sparkling with bead embellishments.
For the National Costume session, Cat wore a tribal outfit from an ancient Filipino tribe. It is completed with large tribal wings adorned with Christmas accents.
There is no rule that the winner of Miss World cannot compete in Miss Universe. However, Cat's victory in this competition has garnered a lot of attention.
Cat's victory is not surprising. In the Miss World 2016 competition, she won awards for Best Swimsuit, Evening Gown, Fashion Runway, and Best Talent.
Cat competes closely in the top three positions of Miss Universe 2018 with representatives from South Africa and Venezuela. However, she successfully brings home the crown that was worn by Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters from South Africa last year.
