This was revealed in their Instagram Live video that went viral on both Instagram and TikTok. Discussing the topic of Easter fasting in the context of Christianity, the couple agreed that they couldn't understand the benefits of fasting.
"I really have to think about it, because I have never fasted. I think our body needs nutrition to be able to think properly," Justin said.
As Justin pointed out, he believes that humans need nutrition to be able to function. If you suddenly stop eating, your body will automatically lack nutrition.
Agreeing with her husband's words, Hailey conveyed, "Fasting from food has never made sense to me. If you want to fast from TV or your phone, I believe that more. But fasting from food is something that has never made sense to me."
Hailey continued, "We really feel that way, that's why you're stupid!" Many netizens misunderstood the topic of fasting discussed by Justin and Hailey as Ramadan fasting, whereas Christian fasting has different rules from Ramadan.
Unfortunately, netizens who misunderstood and associated it with Ramadan were already emotional, as was Gauahar Khan, a beautiful model and actress from India.
Reposting a viral video, Gauahar wrote, "It just proves how ignorant they are. If only they knew the knowledge behind (fasting), and the health benefits of fasting.
