Speculation regarding the relationship status of Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner has finally been answered. After causing a stir with a photo post on Instagram on Christmas Eve showing an eye-catching diamond ring on her ring finger, the beautiful singer has officially confirmed that she and Turner are engaged.

"Yes, we are engaged," said the Levitating singer in an interview for the July issue of British Vogue. "It’s very exciting. The decision to grow old together, live life, and be best friends forever feels very special."

Dua Lipa also shared the story behind her engagement ring. It turns out, Callum Turner designed the ring specifically with the help of Lipa's closest friends and her sister, Rina. The result is a ring that truly represents her personality.

"I am obsessed with this ring. It's so me. It feels great to know that the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with really knows you inside and out," she said.

Even though they are engaged, the couple, who started dating in January 2024, has not yet set a wedding date. Lipa revealed that they are currently enjoying their engagement due to their busy schedules.

"I want to finish the tour, while Callum is filming. We are enjoying this time," she explained. "I'm not the type of person who has always imagined what my wedding would be like, but now I'm starting to think, 'What am I going to wear?'"

In the same interview, Dua Lipa also talked about the beginning of her acquaintance with Turner. They first met at The River Cafe in London, through an introduction from one of the restaurant's founders, Ruth Rogers. A year later, they met again in Los Angeles while Lipa was having dinner with her friend, Mustafa the Poet.

At that moment, she immediately remembered, "Oh, that's the handsome guy from The River Cafe." Coincidentally, they were also reading the same book, Trust by Hernan Diaz. That's where their relationship began to develop.
