That night, Taylor Swift was crowned as the winner of one of the most prestigious categories, namely 'Album of the Year' for her album; MIDNIGHTS which was released on October 21, 2022. In that category, the singer of the song Karma defeated her competitors, namely WORLD MUSIC RADIO (owned by Jon Batiste), THE RECORD (Boygenius), ENDLESS SUMMER VACATION (Miley Cyrus), DID YOU KNOW THAT THERE'S A TUNNEL UNDER OCEAN BLVD (Lana Del Rey), THE AGE OF PLEASURE (Janelle Monae), GUTS (Olivia Rodrigo), and SOS (SZA).

What's more special is that this victory also marks Taylor Swift as a new record. She officially becomes the first singer to win the Album of the Year award four times. Below her, there are Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon who have all won three awards.

In total, this is the 14th Grammy Award trophy she has received throughout her music career. Amazing!

2. New Album Release

On stage, during her acceptance speech, Taylor Swift also made a surprising announcement that is guaranteed to thrill the Swifties. Yes, Travis Kelce's girlfriend announced that she will soon be releasing a new album titled THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT.

After the event, Taylor Swift also shared the album cover on her Instagram account. From the caption she wrote, this 11th album is planned to be released on April 19, 2024. Taylor has even released the entire tracklist of her album.
