7 Photos of Ki Kusumo Officially Becomes the Chairman of PB Parfi, Ready to Unite All Generations

The 18th Congress of the Indonesian Film Artists Association (PB Parfi) was held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Film Building, MT Haryono Street, Jakarta. In this congress, Ki Kusumo was officially elected as the Chairman of PB Parfi for the 2020-2025 term. The position of the Organization's Advisory Board was handed over to Mutiara Sani.

Although there were several names that had previously nominated themselves, on the day of the congress, those candidates were absent or withdrew from the nomination. This cleared the way for Ki Kusumo to take the position of Chairman. Here are the details.

On Monday, February 24, 2025, the newly appointed Chairman of PB Parfi, along with a delegation, visited the office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) of the Republic of Indonesia on Jalan Rasuna Said, South Jakarta. The delegation, consisting of eight members, was welcomed directly by the Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights (Wamenkumham), Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej, or Eddy Hiariej. “We are here to provide legality, the formal legal aspect, to make it clearer. So we are fighting with a boat or ship that is visibly bright and more solid,” said Ki Kusumo to the media after the meeting.

Regarding the results of the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights, Ki Kusumo explained that consultation is an important step to ensure the legal foundation of the organization runs well. “The point is that from the beginning we have always conducted consultations, because we are talking about legal formalities, discussing the legal basis that exists in Parfi, we can implement that,” he said.

Ki Kusumo also expressed that the presence of the Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights at one of Parfi's previous events is a significant recognition from the state for the organization. Moving forward, Ki Kusumo is committed to addressing various issues within Parfi. “Parfi is indeed an organization that is grand, full of noise, many intrigues, and so on. Even now, there are many conflicting news that may be unpleasant. Well, our task is certainly to fix everything to make it better,” said Ki Kusumo.

His mission is to make Parfi a strong home for actors, filmmakers, and cineastes. He hopes this organization can be independent and become a platform for all artists to create until they are recognized internationally. “As members of Parfi, we must do our best in our home, the home of actors, the home of players, the home of cineastes. So that Parfi can be independent, can grow, and certainly can accommodate all actors, artists, and creators to join and create extraordinary results,” he concluded.
