75th National Film Day, Government and PARFI 56 Encourage Film Ecosystem

Kapanlagi.com - The commemoration of the 75th National Film Day is an important moment for the players in the Indonesian film industry. To commemorate this historic day, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, together with PARFI 56, held an interactive dialogue at the National Museum building, Central Jakarta. The event was attended by filmmakers, actors, and other film industry figures, and involved BPJS Employment.

During the dialogue, various ideas were discussed to strengthen the Indonesian film ecosystem. The Chairperson of PARFI 56, Marcella Zalianty, highlighted the importance of cooperation between the government, actors, and associations in creating an environment that supports the development of the film industry.

"We believe that success in realizing this vision requires close synergy between actors, associations, the government, and various other stakeholders," said Marcella Zalianty at the National Museum of the Republic of Indonesia, Central Jakarta, Thursday (27/3/2025).

1. Collaborating with BPJS Employment

"For this reason, we express our deep appreciation for the full support of the government that continues to encourage the creation of a healthy and innovative film ecosystem, which remains rooted in national values," he added.

The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Fadli Zon, also shared his views on the concrete steps the government will take to promote the advancement of the film industry. In his speech, Fadli emphasized the importance of exploring local stories that are rich in cultural and historical values.

"We will conduct workshops in the future so that our stories, which come from Sabang to Merauke, our everyday stories can become interesting film scripts starting from historical stories, legends, regional stories, folk tales, not to mention adaptations from various novels, short stories, or poems," said Fadli Zon.

PARFI 56 also partnered with BPJS Employment to provide protection for film workers. Marcella Zalianty explained that the majority of PARFI members are already registered in this program as a form of commitment to protect the welfare of film workers.

"It has been progressing because at PARFI itself, the majority of our administrators and members have been registered with BPJS Employment," said Marcella.

Furthermore, Marcella emphasized that PARFI 56 will continue to socialize this program to industry players, including producers, production houses, and film worker associations. This program is designed not only to protect film workers but also their families in case of unforeseen events.

"So, the responsibility for this protection is not only to the industry players but also to the families left behind in the event of an accident. In the future, we will socialize and continue to ensure," said Marcella Zalianty.

Fadli Zon also highlighted the importance of supporting the film industry in various ways, one of which is by adding cinema screens across Indonesia. This is expected to broaden public access to local filmmakers' works while also encouraging industry growth.

"Film is a very powerful medium for conveying our cultural and historical messages. Through local stories, we can strengthen national identity and introduce Indonesia's uniqueness to the world," stated Fadli Zon.

With this dialogue, the government and PARFI 56 hope that collaboration among all parties in the film industry can be further strengthened. Full support from the government and active involvement of industry players are expected to create an innovative, sustainable film ecosystem that remains rooted in the cultural values of the nation.
