The SUGAR FACTORY Film Ready to Watch During Eid, Available in Two Versions - Yellow Clock and Red Clock

The SUGAR FACTORY film by MD Pictures will soon greet audiences on March 31, 2025. Interestingly, this film comes in two different versions, namely Yellow Clock and Red Clock, which offer a viewing experience with different elements and durations. This was conveyed by Manoj Punjabi, the producer, during a press conference in South Jakarta on Monday (10/3/2025). Here’s his explanation about his latest film.

"The yellow clock is 17 years old, while the Uncut Sugar Factory is the red clock. Our strategy will involve two films. These two films are still Sugar Factory, but there are certain elements, the storytelling is clearer, more defined, and more complete," said Manoj Punjabi.

The film that tells the story of a group of seasonal workers in a factory terrorized by a demon kingdom comes with fundamental differences in its two versions. The Red Clock version, which carries a 21+ rating, has a duration that is one minute longer than the Yellow Clock version aimed at audiences aged 17 and above.

"Both films are still Sugar Factory, but certain elements make the storytelling more complete. So, there might be a choice for the audience," Manoj said.

Another difference lies in the screening strategy. The Red Clock version or Uncut Sugar Factory will only be screened limitedly at certain times, while the Yellow Clock version is more freely available and can be enjoyed in more cinemas.

"Our strategy for the Uncut Sugar Factory Red Hour will be aired tonight, the red hour at 8 PM in several cinemas, while the yellow hour is more flexible," explained Manoj Punjabi. He added, "And these two films will be a special attraction."

The screening of the Sugar Factory coinciding with the Eid holiday is also considered a strategic move to attract public attention. The long holiday allows more viewers to watch this film, both the Yellow Hour and Red Hour versions. "We intentionally chose March 31, 2025, coinciding with the Eid holiday. This is the perfect time for audiences to enjoy a film with a different concept," added Manoj.

This film stars several young and talented actors, such as Arbani Yasiz, Ersya Aurelia, Erika Carlina, Bukie B. Mansyur, and others. With a unique story and a different screening concept, the Sugar Factory is expected to provide a new experience for film enthusiasts in the country. /aal
