Accused of Hoax for Organizing Tik Tok Challenge with Rp 1 Billion Prize, 'MARIPOSA' Producer Speaks Out

Kapanlagi.com - Ahead of the release of the film MARIPOSA starring Angga Aldi Yunanda and Adhisty Zara, a Tik Tok challenge with a grand prize of Rp 1 billion was held. However, many netizens accused it of being a mere hoax.

In an interview with the media, Chand Parwez, the producer from Starvision production house, affirmed that the Rp 1 billion is indeed real. They intentionally shifted the promotion budget and turned it into a challenge prize with certain conditions.

"We shifted a considerable amount of the promotion budget by creating hype where the public can participate. Our goal is not to create a hoax. If a billionaire is born from this, then Alhamdulillah," said Chand, met at the Starvision office in Cempaka Putih, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (4/3/2020).

The terms to participate in the Tik Tok challenge for the release of the movie MARIPOSA are quite simple. Just follow the basic movements that already exist but can be creatively modified.

The video is then uploaded on Tik Tok and Instagram feed with the hashtag #Rp1MFilmMARIPOSA. Don't forget, every participant is required to have a ticket to watch the film adaptation of the best-selling novel by Luluk HF. The tickets can be ordered starting from March 4th, either online or directly at the location.

"This is a happy moment to welcome the release of the movie MARIPOSA. This is also one of our efforts to provide something positive in the current situation," said Chand Parwez.
