Adinda Thomas Confirms Not Using CGI Technology, but Real Snakes in KKN Di Desa Penari Film

Actress Adinda Thomas, one of the main players in the film KKN Di Desa Penari, feels grateful because her film has been watched by millions of people.

Adinda Thomas, who plays Widya, still remembers her experience during the shooting process. What she remembers most is when she was wrapped in snakes. The 28-year-old woman admitted that the scene was not made using Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) technology.

"Wrapped in five snakes with one of them weighing five kilograms, that's it. I'm basically afraid of snakes, it's a very challenging thing, but thank God I was helped by the crew because they knew I was afraid. So everything was real, there was no CGI involved," said Adinda Thomas at Grand Wisata Cibubur, not long ago.

1. Feeling Burdened

Then, Adinda Thomas admitted that she felt burdened when offered to play in the film directed by Awi Suryadi. Before being lifted to the big screen, the KKN di Desa Penari story went viral on Twitter. Not only that, when she got this film offer, Adinda Thomas auditioned for two characters at once, Widya and Nur.

"It was tough when I was offered the role of Widya or Nur, it turned out that I was chosen to play Widya and Tissa Biani played Nur. When I asked Tissa, it turned out that she also got an offer to play either Nur or Widya and it was only later that they decided which one was suitable," she said.

"I was also one of the people who had read the thread and suddenly, after a few months, MD called me to play in this movie. I was so grateful. I really didn't expect it because during the audition, I didn't have high expectations. It's famous, I don't know how many people were auditioning," continued Adinda Thomas.

2. Develop Character

When cast to play the character Widya, Adinda Thomas immediately developed her character.

"We were given direction and plot about the character, and then developed it from the reading," said Adinda Thomas.
