Kapanlagi.com - SELEPAS TAHLIL officially colors the cinemas of the homeland with its premiere on July 10, 2025. This film stars a series of talented actors and actresses, including Bastian Steel. In a recent KapanLagi Show event, he admitted that he was recruited last as a cast member.
"Yes, so at that time he was contacted by the Visinema studio bio team who sent the synopsis late at night to my mom, and then my mom sent it to me," explained Bastian.
"I read it and was like 'okay, let’s go tomorrow morning straight to the office for a screen test, let’s go'," he continued enthusiastically.
After undergoing a screen test, it was unexpected that he was matched with the character Yudis, who is one of the main characters in the film. Bastian officially joined when the other actors had already started reading.
"I was the last one, while they had already started the reading process. So when I came in, I was already a bit stressed and nervous," Bastian revealed.

Furthermore, he revealed his reason for wanting to be involved in SELEPAS TAHLIL. In Bastian's view, this film does not only offer jump scares but also a touching story.
"It's not just horror with jump scares or horror that is scary because of the ghosts. But I want to show that the sadness of losing a parent is scarier than those ghosts," he said.
