Director of 'YAKIN NIKAH' Reveals She Got All Her Dream Cast

Behind a highly anticipated film, there is always an interesting creative process to uncover. This is what happened with the romantic comedy YAKIN NIKAH, where the director, Pritagita Arianegara, claimed to have experienced a 'miracle' in the casting process.

During the press conference for the film YAKIN NIKAH, Prita, as she is commonly called, revealed that this is her first film project where she successfully got all the actors and actresses on her top wish list without exception.

"This is the first film where all the cast members I wanted were approved by the producer," she said when met at Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (09/09/2025).

Furthermore, the director, who is commonly called Prita, mentioned that since the beginning of reading the script, she had a specific vision for the three main characters. For her, these roles must be brought to life by Enzy Storia, Maxime Bouttier, and Jourdy Pranata.

"Niken has to be Enzy, we have to find a way. It has to be Maxim, it has to be Jourdy," she emphasized.

Not only for the main roles, Prita also has a special vision for the supporting roles. One of them is the character Prita played by Agnes Naomi. She admitted that she really wants to showcase the comedic side of Agnes that the audience may not have seen much before.

"I really want to make Agnes able to make us laugh," he explained.

Besides the choice of actors, Prita also highlighted the main message she wants to convey through this film. She wants to invite the audience, especially those at the vulnerable age of marriage, to reflect on the reasons behind such a major decision.

According to her, many people are caught between personal desires and the demands of tradition.

"I just want to invite friends who are experiencing the same thing. Sometimes, living in Indonesia, we can get trapped when we want to marry; we marry because of tradition or because we truly want to, but we have to ask ourselves if we really want to get married or not," she concluded.
