Exploring the Terror of 'RACUN SANGGA', A New Horror Film Based on a True Story

This story focuses on a separating witchcraft that has deadly potential if it fails to separate the targeted couple.

The origin of this story was shared by Gusti Gina through a thread on the X platform, where she revealed the experiences of the victims of Racun Sangga. Not just a story, Gusti also attached evidence in the form of photos and videos showing the injuries suffered by the victims due to this witchcraft.

"When I first heard this story, it was hard not to believe. But when proven, I immediately got chills, it was very scary," she said when contacted on Monday, (10/10/2024).

The story of Racun Sangga became even more viral after being narrated on the RJL5 YouTube channel, where many netizens also shared their similar experiences in the comments section.

"It turns out there are many victims with the same experience. This is what made me confident to collaborate with Soraya Intercine Films in making the Racun Sangga film," said Gusti Gina, who also wrote the screenplay for the film.

1. Potential to be Developed

Producer Sunil Soraya also agreed with Gusti Gina's statement and added, "The Poison Thread has the potential to be developed into a feature film because it is based on a true story that really happened in Kalimantan. Many have experienced similar things as well," he explained.

Sunil emphasized that he has seen real evidence of the existence of the Poison Thread, which is indeed very terrifying.

"This film invites the audience to feel the struggle of Mahya and Andi as a married couple fighting against witchcraft. The Poison Thread exists," he asserted.

2. Experiencing Various Illnesses

In the story, Maya and Andi's marriage initially runs harmoniously. However, a month after getting married, they begin to experience various illnesses that cannot be diagnosed by doctors. This indicates that they may have become victims of the terrifying witchcraft known in Kalimantan.

This supernatural poison will not stop until it claims lives, raising profound questions: Who sent the Poison Thread to Maya and Andi? And will they manage to free themselves from this deadly magic?

With a chilling atmosphere and a touching story, the film POISON THREAD is expected to be an interesting watch that is not only frightening but also reveals another side of local beliefs and myths in Indonesia.
