Fergie Brittany Reveals the Challenge of Wearing Prosthetics in the Film 'AIN', Experienced Panic Attack

"It really happened when I entered the water, the water got into my mask. So I had a panic attack and was like 'Kak Putri, Kak Putri, Kak, Kak'," said Fergie Brittany when met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (29/4/2026). 

Fergie found it very difficult because even though she was on the surface, the sensation of water trapped in the mask made her feel like she couldn't breathe freely. This incident became one of the most unforgettable experiences and also tested her mental resilience as a professional actor.

Besides the breathing issues, the use of the facial prosthetics also limited Fergie's mouth movement to the point where she couldn't eat normally. She could only consume liquid food like juice or smoothies that were slowly fed through a small hole in the mask.

"When the scene came where I was being fed, I was like, 'Well, whatever, if it doesn't go into my mouth, it's okay if it goes into my chin mask too, just stuff it in already,'" said the lead actor of the film Ain, recounting his experience on set.

Technically, Fergie also had to perform a pretty heavy fighting scene in a tight space while ensuring that the props on her face were not damaged. This demanded double concentration between acting performance and maintaining the complex technical aspects of the costume.

The background of the problem in this film highlights the story of Joy, a beauty influencer who loves to showcase luxury until she ultimately faces the impact of envy from others. Her life turns into a terrifying physical horror without any logical medical explanation.
