Gala Premiere in Yogyakarta, Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X Watches and Praises the Film 'LOSMEN BU BROTO'

Kapanlagi.com - The family drama LOSMEN BU BROTO held its gala premiere in Jakarta last Wednesday (10/11/2021). The event was lively and attended by many celebrities and film industry figures while still implementing health protocols.

On Saturday afternoon (13/11/2021), the second gala premiere was held at Empire XXI cinema in Yogyakarta. The agenda felt special as it was attended by Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X and Gusti Kanjeng Ratu Hemas.

Seeing his film being watched by the Sultan, director Ifa Isfansyah admitted to feeling nervous. This is because LOSMEN BU BROTO is a film adapted from a popular series. Not to mention, as a filmmaker from Jogja, he feels responsible for introducing his city.

"I'm nervous, anxious, because this film was made in Jogja, with a strong Jogja atmosphere, and presented to people from Jogja, especially to the father and mother. Hopefully, this film can be a sweet offering from us," said Ifa.

1. Comment from Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X

Before watching the film LOSMEN BU BROTO, Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X expressed his expectations. After watching it with the community, he said that his expectations were fulfilled.

"My comment after watching this film is that it's good, the cultural aspects are adequate, and the values are not based on what we think, but what the heart feels. It represents the character of Jogja," said the Sultan.

LOSMEN BU BROTO is a reboot remake of the popular series titled LOSMEN, which was released in 1985. This series was created and directed by Tatiek Maliyati and the late Wahyu Sihombing.

In the film version, Bu Broto and other characters are still young. It is hoped that this family drama, starring Maudy Koesnaedi, Mathias Muchus, Maudy Ayunda, and Putri Marino, can captivate the younger generation and the community that grew up with the series.
