Inspired by the Break-in at the Brimob Kelapa Dua Detention Center in 2018, Nicholas Saputra & Ariel Tatum Will Act in 'Broken Wings'

Kapanlagi.com - Nicholas Saputra and Ariel Tatum are involved in a new film titled 'Broken Wings' directed by Rudi Soedjarwo. This film is inspired by a true event which tells the tragedy of the break-in at the Brimob detention center in Kelapa Dua, Depok, West Java in 2018.

In that incident, five members of Densus fell victim to the brutality of the break-in by a group of terrorist inmates. This event inspired Denny Diregar as the producer.

1. So Monumental

"This film starts from an incident at Mako Brimob, Kelapa Dua, Depok in 2018. It is a painful news about the fallen members of the special forces there," said Denny Siregar, the producer, when met at Plataran Dharmawangsa, South Jakarta, on Wednesday afternoon (26/1).

Denny Siregar said that this film, Sayap-sayap Patah, will become a monument for the fallen victims in that incident. Not only that, this film is also expected to serve as a reminder to the society about the danger of radicalism.

2. Big Challenge

"Because it is rare for the public to remember those who fall in an incident, that's why we create a monument in the form of a film and this also serves as a reminder of the danger of radicalism in the homeland," said Denny.

In the same opportunity, Nicholas Saputra also admitted that he is very happy because this time he is involved and plays a role that he has never tried before in previous films. Meanwhile, Ariel Tatum also admitted that the film Sayap-sayap Patah is a big challenge for her because she has to step out of her comfort zone.

3. An Honor

"Playing as part of the police force for the first time. It is also a privilege to meet director Rudi Soedjarwo again after a long time, and of course, this is an opportunity that I cannot miss," said Nicholas Saputra.

"I am really nervous but it is an honor for me to be among an amazing cast and crew. The role is quite challenging and demands me to step out of my comfort zone, so I am truly excited," concluded Ariel Tatum.

4. Starring Famous Actors

In addition to Nicholas Saputra and Ariel Tatum, this film Sayap-sayap Patah also stars senior actress Dewi Irawan and famous rapper Iwa K. Of course, there are many other famous actors involved in this film.
