Kapanlagi.com - Many Indonesian films will be released in theaters this December. One of them is titled VIDKILL, a thriller genre film with a unique concept.
The uniqueness can be seen from half of the film's duration, which shows the interaction of characters using advanced video call technology. This concept is considered fresh for the Indonesian film industry.
Singer Pradikta Wicaksana or familiarly known as Dikta plays the lead male role in this film. He admitted that most of his shooting involved acting against the camera.
"In this film, my co-star is the camera because the concept is different from other Indonesian films. So I had to adapt to how to be in front of the camera, imagining facing a villain," said Dikta during a press conference in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, on Saturday (4/12/2021).

Dyan Sunu Prastowo as the director revealed that the filming process was done separately. Although in the film, the actors appear to interact at the same time.
"For the sequence of shots, we took the girls first, and the boys last. Because I wanted to see the results first, and so that Dikta would know how to react," said Dyan Sunu on the same occasion.
VIDKILL explores different genres, namely thriller. Ody Mulya Hidayat as the producer hopes that this film production can enliven the film industry, which has been sluggish due to closed cinemas.
"This year, we are releasing a thriller-themed film, with the mission of enlivening cinemas. Hopefully, this year will be our lucky year. As for the target number of viewers, we leave it up to the audience," said Ody.

VIDKILL tells the story of three friends, Stella, Kimmy, and Cheryl, who throw a bachelorette party at a villa before one of them gets married. Unbeknownst to them, a killer is hiding in the villa.
The film stars Estelle Linden as Stella, Shindy Huang as Kimmy, Gesya Shandy as Cheryl, and Pradikta Wicaksana as Theo. It will be simultaneously released in cinemas across Indonesia starting from December 9, 2021.
