Iqbaal Ramadhan Calls MONSTER PABRIK RAMBUT Offers Bold Horror

Iqbaal Ramadhan brings a new color to his career journey through the film MONSTER PABRIK RAMBUT. Not only playing the role of Bona, he also has the trust of being the executive producer in this fantasy horror project.

The film, which will premiere on June 4, 2026, tells the story of Putri and Ida who try to uncover the mystery of their mother's death in a hair factory. Behind this story lies a critique of the culture of excessive work and worker exploitation.

According to Iqbaal, one of the biggest attractions of this film lies in the use of practical effects that dominate the production process. This approach makes the playing experience different compared to many modern films today.

"From the beginning, I knew that we would be using a lot of practical effects ourselves, for me this is something very interesting to explore," said Iqbaal Ramadhan when met by KapanLagi in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Monday (1/6/2026).

The actor who plays Bona believes that the use of physical effects brings a more human touch amid the development of technology and artificial intelligence. He even mentioned that this approach has become rare on the big screen in recent years.

"With the sophistication of technology, with the acceleration of artificial intelligence, the practical effects that are physical feel very, very human," he said.

Iqbaal admitted that this method also requires actors to be fully present during filming. They must respond directly to various effects that arise on location without relying on digital visuals.

On the other hand, his involvement as an executive producer gives him a new perspective on the film industry. He sees MONSTER PABRIK RAMBUT as a form of bravery to offer something different to Indonesian audiences.

"I am very proud, I feel very grateful to be involved in it," he said.

Iqbaal also assesses that Indonesian audiences are now increasingly open to works that offer new experiences. Therefore, he believes that films with unique concepts have room to grow in the national film industry.

"Films like this, which are bold and different, deserve to be fought for," he continued.
