KPI Appreciates Mentari TV's 3rd Anniversary, Hopes Children's Programming Continues to be Quality & Compliant with Regulations

Kapanlagi.com - Happy third anniversary to Mentari TV! The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) gives high appreciation for the existence of Mentari TV, which is now three years old.

As a television station focused on providing content for children, Mentari TV is considered to have taken an important role amidst the overwhelming flow of information today. The Chairman of KPI Central, Ubaidillah, who also attended the 3rd anniversary celebration of Mentari TV at the Emtek Studio, Daan Mogot, conveyed his congratulations and hopes that Mentari TV can continue to maintain the quality of its broadcasts.

"Of course, we from KPI would like to wish a happy third anniversary to Mentari TV, as a TV that takes a special segment for children's content," said Ubaidillah when met at the Emtek Studio, Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, Sunday (2/11/2025).

1. KPI's Support for Mentari TV

KPI, according to Ubaidillah, strongly supports the presence of television stations with clear segmentation like Mentari TV. He hopes that all programs presented not only entertain but also align with the applicable broadcasting regulations, both the Broadcasting Law and the Broadcasting Behavior Guidelines and Broadcasting Program Standards (P3SPS).

"Of course, we hope that the quality of its broadcasts is also in accordance with the regulations," he continued.

2. Mentari TV, An Oasis of Children's Programming

Furthermore, Ubaidillah revealed that KPI itself has an annual award program, the Child-Friendly Broadcasting Award, where Mentari TV is always considered as one of the nominees. "Every Child-Friendly Broadcasting Award, Mentari TV always colors several categories that we provide," he explained.

KPI views the presence of Mentari TV as an oasis amid the scarcity of specific programming for children. While in the 90s children's songs were very popular, the situation has now reversed, where many children are singing adult songs instead.

"Now there are many more children singing adult songs. This also becomes a challenge for Mentari TV to continue presenting shows, for example, talent search programs," he said.

With the spirit of its third anniversary, KPI hopes that Mentari TV can continue to innovate and be at the forefront in providing healthy, educational, and safe viewing for Indonesian children.
