Kapanlagi.com - Actor Morgan Oey had a new experience acting alongside Valerie Thomas. It was ROMEO INGKAR JANJI, a film produced by Adhya Pictures in collaboration with Creative Power Management.
Morgan, who played the lead role as Romeo, was very happy to act alongside Jeremy Thomas' daughter, who played Agatha. In Emil Heradi's film, they filmed in Bali.
"I'm also happy because it's the first time working with Valerie, who, as I mentioned earlier, I really didn't know her before and didn't have any expectations, just a passing glance based on age," said Morgan Oey during the first look poster and teaser trailer press conference for Romeo Ingkar Janji at OneNFT Citywalk Sudirman, Central Jakarta, on Monday (7/8/2023).
Despite the nearly 10-year age difference, Morgan admitted that he didn't have any difficulties acting alongside Valerie. He felt that Valerie was a fun person to work with.

"I feel so lucky to get this project, honestly I am also self-aware of the significant age difference, but it turns out it works, thankfully it works and I'm really happy," said Morgan.
Valerie felt the same way from her first acting experience with Morgan. Morgan is also an open person and has provided a lot of experiences during filming.
"Morgan is also quite open from the beginning, from the beginning as Morgan he has been very open since the first time we talked. Morgan is like a real person and I love that, it opened my heart as Valerie and Agatha," expressed Valerie.
ROMEO INGKAR JANJI tells the story of destiny that leads love beyond reality. About two young individuals with dysfunctional family backgrounds who are brought together and separated by destiny, and reunited in a way beyond human reason.
"We really enjoyed the process of making the film Romeo Ingkar Janji, especially working with talented individuals in the industry. Our hope is that this film can be enjoyed by the Indonesian people, becoming a source of inspiration and touching the hearts of those who watch it, as the film presents beauty accompanied by a stirring drama," said Ricky Wijaya, Executive Producer of the film and CEO of Adhya Pictures.
Meanwhile, Jeremy Thomas, as Executive Producer and creator of the original story, has high hopes that the audience can interpret the meaning of life.
"In everyday life, humans definitely experience good times, bad times, bitter moments, and sweet moments. There are so many colors of life that we face in this film, and we radiate its spirit through the story and the scenes," said Jeremy Thomas.
"We hope that the audience can understand that in life, not everything goes smoothly. There are many betrayals, many things that do not align with our lives, but life must go on," he concluded.
In addition to Morgan Oey and Valerie Thomas, the film, which is planned to be released in Indonesian cinemas in October 2023, also features top Indonesian artists such as Donny Damara, Widyawati Sophiaan, Unique Priscilla, Tatyana Akmal, Zulfa Maharani, and Fajar Nugra.
