Randy Martin Injures Shoulder While Filming 'DUSUN MAYIT'

As a result of the heavy load that his back continuously bore, Randy began to feel pain that he initially thought originated from his spine, but it turned out the issue was in the shoulder blade area.

"There was one moment when the shooting was already about 50 percent something, and it turned out there was indeed a complaint in my back. I thought it was my spine, but it was actually my shoulder blade," said Randy Martin when met at a press conference in Senayan City, Tuesday (23/12/2025).

Furthermore, the 27-year-old actor explained that the medical team that examined him described the condition as extreme muscle fatigue. Although he did not suffer from severe muscle tears, the excessive use of muscles or overuse made his movement activities very limited and painful.

"So there is indeed muscle soreness, that's the term. Maybe it's not torn, but overused," said Randy Martin.

Fortunately, Hitmaker Studios, as the production house, is very quick in handling the health conditions of its actors. Randy immediately received intensive treatment from a professional physiotherapist so that his injury would not worsen. He was also required to take total rest from all shooting activities for about a week to ensure optimal muscle recovery.

"It was almost a week after the treatment. That was immediate treatment, needle therapy, electrotherapy, and then taping," said Randy Martin.

The film DUSUN MAYIT itself is the work of renowned director Rizal Mantovani, which tells the chilling adventure of four students on vacation to Mount Welirang. In addition to Randy Martin, this film also stars a lineup of big names such as Amanda Manopo, Ersya Aurelia, and Fahad Haydra. They are depicted as being trapped in a mysterious village full of terror after getting lost during their climb. The film DUSUN MAYIT is scheduled to start haunting cinemas across Indonesia right at the turn of the year, on December 31, 2025.
