Ready to Release 'WHEN STOPPING HERE', Umay Shahab and Prilly Latuconsina Make Criticism Material for Evaluation

Although still in the drama genre starring top actors and actresses, there is something interesting that is trying to be given to the audience.

This time Umay discusses augmented reality technology. Where humans can interact with three-dimensional figures in real time.

"This film discusses augmented reality. We researched for almost a year and a half to find out what augmented reality is because the story goes there. About how if one day we can communicate with people who are no longer in our lives through technology," said Umay when met at Metropole XXI, Cikini area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (28/6/2023).

1. Inviting to Celebrate Loss

The discussion of augmented reality technology in this film WHEN STOPPING HERE is wrapped in a drama presentation with a theme of loss. Through this theme, Umay Shahab wants to invite people to celebrate a loss.

"Sometimes the feeling of loss has a negative connotation. In this film, we invite the audience to celebrate loss because not only happiness deserves to be celebrated, but also loss. Because if you are happy now, it can disappear later. Why explore loss? So that we realize that from loss, we can experience new encounters," said Umay.

2. Criticism Used as Evaluation Material

Prilly Latuconsina is involved in the film WHEN STOPPING HERE as an actress and executive producer. She sees that this film is much better than her first work with Umay Shahab.

"When we work and receive criticism, we are happy because it can be used as evaluation material. In this second film, we use the evaluation material for production aspects, marketing, script, we evaluate everything together. In this film, Umay is more perfectionist and mature in terms of preparation, shooting, and post-production. Maybe because we have more time," said Prilly when met on the same occasion.
