Kapanlagi.com - Production house MD Pictures is preparing a new film titled JOURNAL RISA THE MOVIE. This mockumentary horror film stars Risa Saraswati and her siblings who are part of the Jurnal Risa Youtube channel.
Risa and her siblings admitted to feeling stressed when asked to star in a feature film. However, because they were playing themselves, their fears slowly disappeared.
"At first we were stressed. We were all already scared like 'Can we do this because there's a real camera and everything'. But it turns out we like the concept, it's in line with what I imagined when people asked what if Jurnal Risa was made into a film. My siblings and I are happy to be involved in this film," said Risa at MD Place, Setiabudi area, South Jakarta, on Thursday (15/6/2023).

Producer Manoj Punjabi expressed his excitement in working on the project JURNAL RISA THE MOVIE. As he has never produced a mainstream mockumentary film before.
"We have had this interesting concept for a year and a half. It will be a mockumentary with a high production budget. It has nothing to do with the series, it is in a different world, giving a different experience," said Manoj on the same occasion.
2. Introducing Indonesian Culture
Although horror mockumentary formats have been widely made abroad, director Rizal Mantovani revealed that JURNAL RISA THE MOVIE will be different. In addition to involving Risa Saraswati and her brother, it will also have Indonesian characteristics.
"The concept of this film is a combination of several existing films but with Indonesian culture and very much Jurnal Risa," Rizal whispered.
