Shooting a Fight Scene with Vino G Bastian, Anya Geraldine Gets Pushed Back for Real

Kapanlagi.com - Anya Geraldine acts alongside Vino G Bastian in the family comedy film titled GAMPANG CUAN. They play siblings Sultan and Bilqis who struggle to find ways to pay off their late father's debts.

In some scenes, Anya and Vino are required to argue verbally and physically. Vino got so into character that he actually pushed Anya's head, causing her to be pushed back.

"I got pushed (by Vino)," Anya said when met at Epicentrum XXI, Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (8/11) yesterday.

"At that time, he pushed me first, and when I pushed back, I accidentally pushed too hard and he fell onto the bed. When the scene was asked to be repeated, it had to be like that," Vino added in the same occasion.

1. Improvisation on Set

To perform the fighting scene, Anya Geraldine and Vino G Bastian had already simulated it during the workshop process. However, when they were on set, they had to make adjustments.

"Actually, we had already done that scene during the workshop. But we didn't know what the location would be like. Once we entered the set, we thought it would be better like this, or like that. So there were a lot of improvisations, a lot of adjustments in those scenes that make it realistic that the siblings are like that," explained Vino.

2. Intensive Learning of Sundanese Language

In the film GAMPANG CUAN, Anya Geraldine and Vino G Bastian are required to speak Sundanese fluently, complete with the characteristic delivery. For that, they practiced before shooting with the help of a dialect coach.

"Since we are not Sundanese, we have to learn with the help of a coach for the Sundanese dialogues," said Vino.

"For almost a month, we had reading sessions every day. After the reading, there was a schedule for coaching in Sundanese dialect and Sundanese language with native Sundanese speakers," added Anya.
