Pradikta Wicaksono, better known as Dikta, revealed an interesting fact about his life that not many people know. This came to light when he starred in his latest film titled AKU JATI, AKU ASPERGER, produced by Falcon Pictures.
In this film, Dikta plays the character Daru, the brother of Jati (played by Jefri Nichol), a person with Asperger's syndrome. Although it is just acting, Dikta's ability to portray the role feels so natural, as if he has direct experience with people with special needs.
It turns out that this natural performance is not without reason. Behind the scenes, Dikta has indeed had a close relationship with people with special needs since he was a child. One of his closest individuals is his older brother, Jasmoro Wahyu Diati, or affectionately called Arty, who is hearing impaired.
His closeness to Arty has made Dikta interact a lot with the special needs community, including those with Asperger's syndrome.
"Since I was a child, I happened to have relationships with friends who have Asperger's, autism, deafness, SLBA, SLBB, SLBC, because my brother is deaf," said Dikta at the press conference for the film AKU JATI, AKU ASPERGER, Thursday (17/10/2024).
Since childhood, Dikta often accompanied and took Arty to school. This experience helped him understand the behavior of people with special needs. Dikta sees it as a privilege that not many people have.
"Since I was a child, taking my brother to his school, I happened to have the privilege of knowing how their behavior is," he said.
