The latest horror film titled 'Sumala' is set to premiere in theaters on September 26, 2024. Based on a true story and a viral thread on X, Sumala will provide a different kind of terror for local film enthusiasts.
For Darius Sinathrya, being involved in a new film project that already has its original story is something interesting for him. Moreover, the original story of the film he stars in has gone quite viral on social media.
"It's always interesting to be involved in a project that already has a story," said Darius when met at Kapanlagi Youniverse, Central Jakarta, Friday (23/8).
"Especially regarding Sumala, it's very lively, telling how he searches for his village, until he finally meets the people who tell about his story," he continued.
Darius's co-star, Luna Maya, also expressed what she really liked when invited to be involved in this film.
She stated that the character she plays is considered to represent a strong woman in various aspects of life.
"Sulastri is a woman who stands very independently for a woman in her time, she can manage her household, her position, she must please her husband so that everything is fine," she said.
Darius also mentioned something interesting about the character he plays. Moreover, that character is the key to the story of this film Sumala.
"Sujiman is a man who holds principles, so I like him," he remarked.
